Thank you for the reply, I am sure that Carl has made an error as after having a double take at the rolls and papers it's most certainly a SA 01 that was issued rather than the SA 02. I will give Carl a call in the morning. The QSA to S.H Nell is also due an SA 01 clasp.
I am excited about the group to Barnes. I do not have a copy of his papers to hand but they are in the archives. Anthony Barnes who attested in September 1896. Will have a look at the papers soonest!!
