If the seller actually states "genuine" he or she, very clearly, has absolutely no idea whatsoever, however, anyone that actually does, will not be "taken in" by these particular clasps, they could not really be any more obvious.

This medal on eBay has been re-made in the last three years, so they haven't read the Border Horse roll correctly, their entitlement to the Wepener clasp was disallowed. Wepener was a defence clasp. Still a nice and rare double siege relief: Ladysmith & Wepener.
