I'm looking at a QSA with clasps Belmont, OFS, and Transvaal to Staff Sergeant G Boyer of the CMSC.

But looking on Ancestry I find him in B Company, but with the CC, OFS and TVL clasps. No Belmont.

Either it's a mistake, or there is Belmont on some other roll. Does anyone have knowledge of the CMSC rolls and could point me at a supplementary roll or something?

Thanks
Ryan

Hi Ryan

The QSA roll shows him as CC OFS TVL

Not on supplementary rolls

Ryan,

I have seen some rolls where the Belmont column has been used as some form of cross check and therefore ticked. This can look like entitlement. However this is not the case with the CMSC roll.

The same can happen with the last clasp, Natal, on some rolls.

Best wishes
David
