Hello Mike,

What a super group to a man that served in both the Cape and Natal.

Mike I have a snippet of info for you which was taken from Ref DD7/65 whilst I was working on some CMR stuff.

Ronald McDougall attested into the CMR in King Williams Town on the 8th August 1898 at the age of 21 years he was discharged by purchase on what seems to be the 15th May 1903.

He found himself in the following areas: Hoopstad, Graaf Reinet, Middelburg, Gansfontein and Lady Grey.

He had 7 Defaults the worst being absent from Camp in Hoopstad on the 18th October 1900. He was given 14 days CB.

Not much but something all the same. The page confirms the QSA and KSA.

Thats a good honest group in really nice condition, which I like very much, its always nice to see a 1906 with other medals, be it, as here, a Boer War pair, or indeed, a Great War trio.
Seems that your time in London was very well spent.

Yes a fantastic expensive time in London......

A number of fine groups of medals found.....

The email that you sent came through OK but the picture didn't..... So we can be 90% sure that it is the same man.....
