Good Morning Everyone.....

I just obtained this medal with 10 of a possible total of 14 bars.....

Issued in 1908 it was an unofficial medal given to members of the crew of several cruisers that did a goodwill tour of South Africa and South America......

Issued only in BRONZE, (thank God) as if it was issued in Silver can you see some of these bars ending up on QSA's.....

The missing bars from my medal are as follows: Pretoria, Johannesburg, Bloemfontein and St. Helena....

It is supposed to have a Pale Blue ribbon but I did not have any..... In MYB as item U2.....

Now for some photos.....

Mike

A really nice example Mike. Thank you for the pictures.

Their itinerary would make a good basis for touring some of the ABW sites too.

Best wishes
