Hi Henk

I had a word with Brian Thomas last evening who can't remember the article but who has promised to look into it.

All the research I have thusfar from the Archives would tend to point to my man not being the same chap with the ZMR. He was in a different place at the time and was already in his mid 50's in 1906 and not a career soldier (or at least someone with strong voluntary service links) which the rank of SM implies.

He also only went by the name of Robert which caused me no end of grief in trying to research him only to find that he had a "Fyfe" thrown in.
