Patrick,

Based on past QSAs, the minimum I can cover all 26 clasps is 8 QSAs:

I am sure there will be combinations that cover all clasps with fewer medals.

I think you will find that this was "allowed" by a very particular AO in 1902.

Thanks, there are certainly some interesting combinations there. Were there many recipients of both the Elandslaagte and Wepener clasps? I also noted the Rhodesia /ROM combination discussed in this thread.

What does the abbreviation Dam Hrse stand for?

Patrick,
Dam Hrse was Damant's Horse, a class C SAMIF unit that changed its name and became Damant's Horse on the 21st of September 1901, it was, for official purpose, disbanded in Kimberley, on the 30th of June 1902.
Kind regards Frank Kelley

Hi Patrick,

I believe there was just one QSA issued with Elandslaagte and Wepener.

Re the RoM/Rhodesia combination, my provisional list of recipients shows 1,245 with that combination out of some 3,005 issued, ie about 41%.

Sorry for the abbreviation. Dam Hrse is Damant's Horse.

Best wishes
David
