O’okiep Medal (W. Epenaar).

Reverse striking slightly off-centre.

W Epenaar was a member of the Namaqualand Town Guard Battalion with the service number 733, the roll confirms he was “Engaged with the enemy at O’okiep

Now on offer at £1,995. Last seen at DNW, October 1995, where it sold for £380.

Thanks for posting the W. Epenaar sighting. That’s an “Old Friend” that once resided in my collection here in Texas. I can’t recall at the moment where I obtained it and my records are still packed at our new soon to be home. Your post has given me a great morning.

On the face of it, not exactly a bargain, but, these days, certainly a very scarce medal, never mind, it's only money.
