What a cracker! Does anyone know how many with this combination were issued to Damant's Horse?

Cheers,

Jim

This medal sold on eBay last month for £115. It is named to Trooper B. A. BOWIE DAMANT'S HORSE.

I cannot find him on the rolls or nominal list so far.

Gentlemen,
I think it is most important to remember why these exist and it is really because of the date they were actually raised in Capetown, the 12th of October 1899, had Kitchener's and Robert's been raised at the same time, you would have seen similar impressive medals to the SAMIF in greater quantity, but, sadly they were not.

Frank,

That's true. Their early establishment and wide service made them eligible for many clasps.

By the same measure, the ILH QSAs ought to be similar but for the criteria for issuing clasps and their location.
