My grandfather was Harry Sefton 1879-1927 from Stourbridge. While working on a genealogy project "ancestry.com" I can't seem to find him in the 1901 census.I have a photo of him in uniform and wonder if he may have been overseas in the second Boar War. I know that he was a Birmingham postman in 1906 but the uniform looks military. I can't find anything military except the 46th company.19th battalion #9383 or #9380.
This is awkward for me as I am in Canada.

With thanks Phil Sefton

Thanks guys! I was not sure about the design on the lower sleeves. My brother vaguely remembers a picture of a cannon being pulled by horses. All seems to fall into place.
Thanks again Phil.
