I've found two references, in letters home to Morecambe, to a St John Ambulance Brigade man, first name 'Fred,' who was buried at Standerton some time in the last week in November/first week in December, 1900. Would it be Fred Siddle, who is named on the Morecambe Division's SJA memorial?

Hello Berenice

You could well be correct. Siddle was the only man buried in Standerton in that period with an initial of "F".
