Hi everyone I am looking for help I am doing up my family tree and I am trying to find out some info on my great g grandfather. I think he surname was Farrell there is a story I was told that he was in the British army and died in India it is believed his family were in India with him at the time of his dead. He had a daughter called Elizabeth I don't know his wife's name I was told they came back to Ireland after he died on a boat in around 1885-1888 (maybe). I lot of this is just a story I was told I can't even say his surname was Farrell so what I am hope for is that I can find a boat that came back in around that time and that they have a list of the people on board the ship. I also know that Elizabeth was only 7 or 8 at the time her father died. I know it not a lot but it's all I have and any help would be great Thanks

There are quite a few entries on the Boer War rolls for the surname Farrell, nearly 900.

We don't have any transport information on this site other than Boer War troop movements by ship.
