Hello Everyone,

Iam new to the forum and have been researching my Grandfather Edward McNerney/McInerney of The Royal Irish Fusiliers. He joined the Regiment in 1897 Service Number 4494 and I have been sent papers from the Museum in Armagh which states he was awarded medals and was slightly injured during the Boer War and posted back to England I think in 1900/01.

I would like to know if his service records are available, I have checked on Ancestry but can not find him, I found his record on Find My Past under the Militia his number at that time was 5/1516.

Any help would be appreciated.

Many thanks,
Patricia.
