Hi, I am trying find out some information on grandfather who was 51215 Gnr William Guy who served with the 86 Bty RFA, I know he had the QSA medal and 4 clasps and was wounded and invalided back to the UK but I seem tbe having trouble finding anything else out about him including which clasps he had. Any help would be much appreciated

Hi tankie, welcome to the ABW Forum. I had a quick look at the QSA rolls and found him listed on three pages. The following three clasps are listed: Cape Colony, Transvaal and Laing's Nek. An issue record from the nominal roll confirms issue of QSA with three clasps. On Army Order 233, 1 Oct 1902 he's noted as having been invalided on 2 August 1900 so no issue of SA 1901 or SA 1902 clasps. I can find no further roll noting an issue of a 4th clasp.

Cheers,

Mark
