My 2nd great grandfather served in the Boer War with the Royal Sussex Regiment. If I am reading the information on the website correctly he was a stoker aboard the HMS Monarch. However, I'm not sure this is him as it lists only a W. Brooker. (His name was William Brooker - born about 1857 in Cranbrook, County of Kent, England. Can anyone tell me how I can clarify this information or possibly gain access to any records pertaining to him.
