I have been given an introduction to a descendent of T.A.K. Hickman, who has been described as a Brigadier General who served with Kitchener during
the war. There is a possibility that I may be allowed to see some of his personal papers said to be stored in an attic "somewhere".
I've been looking for some back ground on this particular Hickman, but have found nothing so far. Not mentioned in the indexes of any of the books
relating to the war that I possess, including Cassell's History 1899 - 1902. Haven't found the name on this site and even a Google search has been
negative.
Any pointers would be appreciated please.
Kind regards,
Geoff

In the "War Services of Officers of the Army, etc" there is an extensive writeup of a Colonel T.E.Hickman; a special service officer. Had a long career dating back to the Soudan Expedition of 1885. Middle forename initial is different; might not be your man.
