Following a previous enquiry, and the comprehensive answer recieved, I am asking this for a friend, who
would like to know if his great grandfather survived the boer war, he thinks he may have died in South Africa.
The gentlemans name was Benjamin Edwards no.2455, and was possibly born in Kent, England.

CKL,

2455 B Edwards served in the 1st Oxfordshire Light Infantry, earning clasps CC and OFS. His medal was issued 22 Dec 1911.

He died of disease on 23 May 1900. He is buried in the cemetery in Bloemfontein, on President Avenue.
