Welcome to the forum. Mike is correct; "Tpr. 232 James, Robert Homes" is shown in the DCM book (under the initials R.T.) as award being submitted to the King 3/8/01, published in the London Gazette on 27/9/01 and mentioned in Army Order 15/02. His QSA medal bore the clasps "Eldndslaagte", "Defence of Ladysmith", "Relief of Mafeking" and "Transvaal". There is a roll notation that he also served with the Intelligence Dept. There he served as a Scout (initials again R.T.) and earned the Kings Medal.
