Thomas Rumfitt, originally from Sheffield, later moved to Stafford, where his son, Thomas William Rumfitt, was born on 4.4.1907. Said to have fought in the ABW.

I see that there's a T.A. Rumfitt, Yorkshire Hussars; would he fit the description?

Berenice,

That looks a good match.

They had difficulty with his forenames on the roll:

Dr David Biggins

Only TJ Rumfitt in the ABW, no service papers unfortunately. But he is listed on a memorial in Clifton Park Museum, Rotherham (now disappeared).
