I can find two Henry Kayleys - the same man? - serving in Menne's Scouts and Kitchener's Fighting Scouts. Was Abel H. Kayley one, or both, of them?

CRACK REVOLVER SHOT KILLED.
Major Abel H. Kayley, who served in the Manchester Militia Regiment during the Boer war, was found shot dead on the Ventnor rifle range on Monday night [28.7.1906]. Deceased was an expert revolver shot, and after firing at the target evidently went to examine it, but slipped in getting down some steps, with the result that the revolver he had in his hand was discharged, the bullet entering his heart. Deceased was 38 years of age.

The Cambrian, Friday 1st June 1906

Hello Berenice

Henry Kayley served in Mennes' Scouts then KFS, the medal roll gives an address in Gravesend.

Nothing yet to connect him to the deceased AH Kayley.

Hello
It appears that the information supplied in the newspaper article is incorrect with regards to his surname. It should Bayley , instead of Kayley .
Cheers

A-ha! So it was worthwhile my posting about 'Kayley.' Many thanks, RR, and thank you also IL.

He's buried at a village called Niton, just under 4 miles from Ventnor, Isle of Wight.
