Hi, I need some advice.

I'm researching 10287 James Sharp of the Imperial Yeomanry, who was discharged from that regiment in 1901 and transferred to the Johannesburg Police.

Firstly, I'm having trouble finding online records on the Johannesburg Police during that period and would appreciate any help on where to go to get further information.

Secondly, Family.org has online personal files on members of the South African Constabulary during 1901 to 1907. Would the Johannesburg Police have been a unit of the South African Constabulary during those years?
