Hi, I hope someone can help me on this matter. My Grandfather William Stevenson served with the Scottish Horse Nov 1901 until 7th June 1902 when he was sent to the Coronation of King Edward VII which was to take place on 26th June, however because of his appendix, the coronation was postponed untill 9th August. What would have happened? Would William have been sent home or would he have been billeted somewhere until the Coronation? Would he have recieved the Coronation Medal.
I have his military doc's and have put a history of his military service together (inc WWI (BW) & WWII (HG))as I have with most of the family, but this Coronation thing I'm having probs with.
I look forward to any input
Bob
