Miss Alice Brown, daughter of Mr J. H. Brown, Newington, left Hull yesterday, to join the Medical Hospital at Portsmouth, previous to going to the seat of war. Miss Brown, who is a sister at the Hull Sanatorium, is No. 7 on Princess Christian's Army Nursing Service Reserve, and wears the silver badge pinned on by Her Royal Highness.

. - Nursing Sister Alice Brown, of the Army Nursing Service Reserve (daughter of Mr J. H. Brown, of Newington) is returning from South Africa in the Avondale Castle, which is expected at Southampton on the 23rd inst. Miss Brown left Hull in October, 1899, to take charge of the Military Hospital at Gosport. In February, 1900, she sailed for the Cape, and has been at the hospital, Springfontein, Orange River Colony, up to the time of her departure for home.
