Hi guys I am trying to find more information on my great grandfather William John Somers (1869-1957). My research has found that he joined the police force and was stationed in Mafikeng during the Anglo Boer War. He was a troop sergeant service number 2521, Regiment Bechuanaland Protectorate Division British Police. He married an Afrikaans lady Maria Cornelia (1881-1967) . Attached more information which I think is applicable to him.
I would love to find out where he came from and trace the family he must have left behind.
