Interestingly, William Lodwick appears to have also served within the CMSC during the Anglo Boer War, but, the P of W Light Horse was actually part of the SAMIF and nothing whatsoever to do with the Imperial Yeomanry, it was raised as a specialist anti commando unit and it's diverse members spent much of the time chasing De Wet.
It was often referred to during the time it was extant as the "South African Welsh" with many of their officers and ranker's wearing the Welsh dragon on their buttons, moreover, it is always nice to hear of Welshmen who served within the regiment.
