Stephanus Johannes Bender was captured at Fouriesburg on the 30 Jul 1900 and left Cape Town in Nov 1900 on the ship "Bavarian" for Ceylon and place in the camp Diyatalawa.
He was born about 1859 to Jan George Frederik Bender b. 1823 and Maria Johanna Fourie b. 1824.
Stephanus was married to Elizabeth Johanna Van Zyl.
I am trying to find when he died. Did he die while at Ceylon? Did he ever come back home?
