I came across a family grave in Glasgow Necropolis which gave the above information. Did he die in the actions at Marandellas Store or Headlands Laager on the 20th/21st of June 1896?

According to the book "The 96 Rebellions" Schedule O (viii) item 17, Bremner, Harry, Died about June 20 1896, Marandellas. Lt. and Adjudant 20H , murdered at White's Farm, 12 miles from Marandellas, body found August 5.

On the Owen roll for the BSACM, "Bremner, Henry, Lt., 20th Hussars" is shown for the 1893 BSACo Medal.
