You might be able to find something in the Boer POW database of the ABW Museum in Bloemfontein.

I have found that there can be spelling issues. Names in High Dutch not Afrikaans eg Wyk or Byl might appear as Wijk or Bijl.

Found out that of the three medals that I have in my collection.....

One was a Prisoner and Two were Bitter Enders......
