The roll for the 1st Grahamstown Town Guard (Wo100/281 p130) list 52 Tpr H R Ivy. As with all the names on this page, the Cape Colony clasps has been ticked for issue and then crossed out (as was the usual practice for most of the town guards).

There are no notes again his name.

You may be interested to know that on the preceding page, there is listed one 382 Pte J R Ivy.

There are attestation papers for some of the Town Guard men in the London National Archives but it will need a visit there or the employment of a professional researcher to look through the boxes for you.
