Grandfather John Day 16th (Queens )Lancers (No 3567) holder of QSA with5clasps.Cannot seem to find much details for the activity of 16 (Queens)Lancers. Other then they were posted to South Africa from India. He died from illness probably received in SA in 1909.

I had a look today and found that there are service papers available for John Day. These are available on line at Find My Past or at the National Archives.

These papers will give you a lot of information if you do not already have them.

Other than the information on the 16th Lancers on this site, I don't know of any other histories.
