Help required - I have info on the above named soldier in relation to his soldier details and that he was K.I.A. 1 November 1900 at Klipfontein South Africa. I obtained from the Ancestry site, regarding National Probate Calender with a Probate date of 19 June 1901 detailing effects left to his father. In the Calender it states his place of death is Surrey England. What I can't find is a death certificate or any details in relation to his death or where he may lie. His soldier number was 14983 and he is listed in the medal records - QSA Johannesburg, Cape Colony and Orange Free State clasps. His name is also recorded on the statue outside the Swan Hotel in Bedford, Bedfordshire. Any assistance in shedding some light, re service documents or how he was killed would be greatly appreciated.
