Hello - I am trying to get further information on a fellow called rhodes silson who i believe is my wife's great grandfather. What we know is that her father Stanley abbott silson was born in RSA. His father was albert silson who was born in the Uk in around 1880 and his father was Rhodes Silson who apparently served in the KTG between 1899 and 1902, Medal Roll 282? page 0?. Rhodes, his wife Priscilla and two children Henry and albert appear in the 1881 Uk census but not in any further census. We are still trying to connect Rhodes to my wife's family. Any help or advice would be appreciated.

There is a certain R Silson shown on the Kimberley Town Guard medal roll in WO100/282 page 125, some attestation papers for members of certain Town Guard units have survived in WO126 at Kew, however, the Kimberely Town Guard was not one of them, which is a great shame, as it would have made your task a little easier.
