One more note. There are enrolment papers in the National Archives for the IHC in WO126/52-55. These would be worth a search to see if the G Halsey identified is your relative.

hi im here to try to find as much info as i can of ggrandfather,service medals campains enlisted ect.only know a little
george halsey b 1857 cublington,believe he was in the hospital co,as a stretcher bearer,wife sarah,address at time was i think in sheffield,,any help would be brill thank you

And welcome to the forum.
There is a George Halsey listed in the National Archives WO127 Nominal rolls Colonial Units.
He is listed as an Orderley in the Imperial Hospital Corps the roll is 249
