Ianh,

Welcome to the forum.

There were a couple of G Halseys in the Boer War. There is an Orderly in the Imperial Hospital Corps who enlisted 21 May 1901 (I think. It is difficult to read on WO100/249p70). His medal was returned unissued, probably because he could not be located, on 31 May 1907.

From what you know of him, might he have served in the IHC?

Regards
David

Hi Ian,

And welcome to the forum.
David would be referring to the Imperial Hospital Corps

Cheers
Paul :)

Ian,

I cannot find any other information on George in Ancestry. Born in 1857 would make him 42 at the time of the Boer War.

What addresses do you have for him just prior to 1900?
