Hi
Can anyone please shed some light on who exactly captured Churchill. I have read that is was Russians ( www.stormfront.org/forum/t489656/ )and also Louis Botha ( www.triumphrat.net/ride-trip-reports/150...dramatic-escape.html )
but not sure how reliable these sources are.

Hello Soutie.....

There are many books about the Capture and Escape of Churchill but I can honestly say that I have never heard about any Russians.... I do have a medal to one of the men that escaped on the train.... In the big Spinks Boer War Auction there were a number of pieces sold including the the gold watch that Churchill gave to the Train Engineer who took him on the last part of his escape.....
