This is not in my collection but is another to the Derby Regt.

2 BAR IGS 1895, 4 BAR QSA & EVII LS&GC, 2/DERBY.R

Colour Serjeant S. Cocker, Nottinghamshire & Derbyshire Regiment

India General Service 1895-1902, 2 clasps, Punjab Frontier 1897-98, Tirah 1897-98 (2416 Sergt., 2d Derby. Regt.) officially renamed; Queen’s South Africa 1899-1902, 4 clasps, Cape Colony, Orange Free State, Transvaal, South Africa 1901 (2416 Col. Sejt., Derby. Regt.); Army L.S. & G.C., E.VII.R. (2416 C. Sjt., Notts. & Derby. Regt.)

Colour Serjeant S. Cocker, 4th Battalion Sherwood Foresters, was taken prisoner at Roodeval, 7 June 1900. Later released. Listed as ‘Locker’ in published casualty roll.

Thanks for putting Sjt. Cocker's trio on the site. I feel certain that experienced senior NCOs such as Sjts Cocker and Walters must have been rather worried at the Derby Militia being "dumped" where they were!
