Hi my mother Margaret Joan Haigh (Tickner) living in Australia would like to locate her Grandfather who is unknown to the family.
Her father Eric John Haigh born in Islington and was 2 years old in 1901 when his father apparently passed away.
Eric's mother Pauline Lucy (Jenkins) Haigh born 1862 in Lancashire and was registered on the 1901 British Census and listed as having a military pension.
We are aware of an E Haigh No. 6348 Private in 5th Battalion Duke of Cambridge's own Middlesex Regiment.
Could this be the person we are looking for?
Can somebody assist us as my mother has never known her grandfathers name or any details about him or the family.
We look forward to a reply.

Hello Ron

Check for service papers on FindmyPast - more service papers and better index than Ancestry.
