Hi

I’ve been comparing BSAP medals and noticed that the Mashonaland 1890 one I have has a bevilled or serated rim, a bit like a coin.

The others are smooth as most medals I know are.

Is this a variation? Are all Mashonaland 1890
Like this? Are other BSAC’s like this?

I got it figured out by finding more pictures. The 1890, which was issued in 1927, is a bit different. The edge is not the same as the earlier ones.
