Hi all - its been a while since I posted but as I have now retired I plan to do more ..
Searching for any information I may have missed on my Wifes Grandfather, was with Generaal C de Wet and was captured at Hopetown, he sailed to India on the Hawarden Castle..; ( details below from the Role at Ahmednagar in India - he survived the war returned to the Heidelberg region in the Tvl was compensated for his horse and saddle - he had Red hair and was apparently a very angry man....
