I am nervous that this is not Anglo Boer War, but hoping that you guys can perhaps point me in the right direction. I am a coin collector with little knowledge of medals and such. However this was in a coin collection I inherited and was interested in it's history. Any ideas?

Thanks
Cris

Mike, I think deep down I also thought so. Only saw it when posting due to the large image but there is a machine gun in the tower.

Could anyone make a suggestion about the best place to continue my search?

The tower looks oriental, so perhaps a POW held by the Japanese?

Try the British Red Cross, Ancestry have POW records, not sure if they are searchable by POW #.

But what non English speaking country would issue an ID Tag with an English abbreviation - 'POW'?

SWB thanks for your input. Never thought of that. Perhaps a fake, or self made in the camps to while away the time? Any further inputs welcome. Thanks so far
