It's heartbreaking isn't it, to be that close and fail. I missed my great grandfather's medal by a matter of hours and I sobbed and sobbed. Knowing someone else has it is some consolation in that it still exists, but that does not fill the sorrow in my heart. I can only hope one day I will find it and be able to get it back. Don't give up hope.
