James Pennycook

Born c 1852 in Scotland. Trade: Contractor. Freemason of the Austral Lodge, Mafeking 15 August 1895 to 31 December 1904. Enlisted in the Mafeking Rifle Club (Private) 1 February 1897. Served with A Section, MTG (Siege Slip nominal roll). Attended the Freemason's meeting, 18 February 1900 (MM076, 21 February). He died in Johannesburg, 10 December 1913, aged 62. Described as a stone mason. Single. Residence c/o Moores Beer Hall, Roodepoort
