It is a little difficult to see but this QSA looks decidedly renamed to me

Pictures courtesy of Crow's Auction Gallery

Catalogue description says 'A pair of C20th South Africa Corps medals, one Rhodesia 1896, the other with Rhodesia Bar, presented to J.T. Bridges, Municipal Police'

There is a J T Bridges on the QSA roll but not for Rhodesia and not in the Municipal Police.

Hi, I purchased the above pair to Bridges and they were described poorly by the auction house. I had a further condition report sent through and happy nether medal is renamed. The QSA is named to 410 Cpl J T BRIDGES RHOD REGT and confirmed on the roll as part of E squadron with single Rhodesia clasp. The BSAC medal is also named to Tpr J.T BRIDGES Municipal Police and also confirmed on the appropriate roll.

Zimrich,

I'm pleased there is no renaming of the medals. A very nice pair in that case.
