An interesting one, miniature medals. I haven't really had any interest in collecting them. I know people do collect just miniatures.

I wonder if anyone has an opinion on the value of this group on their own and if they were paired with the original group. There is no doubt that would be desirable, which goes without saying, but at what cost?

Not an easy answer. They do appear to be the medals for A C McLachlan but I suppose they are only attributable. If you're happy with attribution, the miniatiues will be more valuable. They do though seem to be good quality.

I have been told that they don't, as most collectors realise, actually add anything to a groups value, and a recipient may have had several groups made.

I think they would add to a group, obviously, but at nearly £175, it's a big ask?
