A clasp inscribed "Laing's Nek" will be granted to all troops of the Natal Field Force employed in operations, and north of an east and west line through Newcastle between June 2nd and 9th, 1900, both dates inclusive.
Quarter-master Sergeant. Kearney joined the Natal Volunteer Veterinary Corps in April 1900 after the Relief of Ladysmith and saw service at Laing’s Nek. His previous service was in the Laboratory at P.maritzberg. His Queen’s South Africa Medal bears the single clasp “ Laing’s Nek”. Left the Corps afterwards to pursue a Veterinary Degree at Dublin University. No record of the medal being claimed.
Looking for Salutries, Salootries and Veterinary Duffadars.
I collect primarily QSAs to Indian Recipients.
