Daniel Anthonissen was a Cape Rebel from Calvinia who served as a Corporal under Commandant Louw. According to Shearing, he was described by the Intelligence Dept, Cape Town in the “Boer Army List” of November 1901 as “A coward and of no ability; fair complexion; 5ft 7in. ”.
He laid down arms and was tried and sentenced at Clanwilliam under Proclamation 100/1902 during July 1902.
