ABO (Artilleris A.S. Eloff). City Coins June 2004.

Andries Eloff was a 26 year old Artillerist in the ZAR “Staats Artillerie” when he was taken prisoner at Pretoria on 9 August 1900 and sent to Ceylon (PoW Number 11225). His daughter applied for the medal in the 1940’s and because she stated “Pretoria Artillery Camp” on the form, the Forsyth Roll records Eloff as serving in the Pretoria Commando.
