ABO (Sjt. Mjr. P.J. Fourie). City Coins August 2010.

When Petrus Fourie applied for his ABO medal in 1921, he listed his rank as Warrant Officer in the ZAR State Artillery, serving since 1896 and stationed in the Garrison Section, Fort Schanskop, Pretoria.

He served throughout the war: initially in all the major Natal actions (including Spion Kop) and subsequently in the Transvaal (including Dalmanutha).
