Described as:

Copies of his application papers show that Peter Johannes Jacobus Jordan Grobler was with the Marico Commando. He fought from 4 October 1899 to 31st May 1902 Fought with Piet Roux and General J. Snyman. Fought at Buffelspoort, Marico, Lichtenburg, Zilkaatsnek; Wolmaransstad; Rooiwal. He was wounded “vlees wond byde beenen” in the middle of 1900 at Zilkaatsnek.
