I wanted to mention it the other day, but how special is it to have your Vorm B signed by a Prime Minister, a Field Marshall (granted this came later) and a member of the Privy Council - all rolled into one man - Jan Christiaan Smuts!

It seems that George Willem had an association with Jan Smuts after the war which I am investigating with the family's help.
